Originally, I was just looking for a more robust stand to hold my son’s ipad and iphone for charging. His ipad has the thick, heavy, rotating type of case and I’ve tried those stands that had the flimsy with those plastic fins and narrow slots and it just wasn’t very secure. This stand has worked out great for him. The holder is built solid and adjustable to hold quite a wide range. it was able to safely hold my son’s ipad and gaming laptop (not at the same time!) securely.
The wireless charger also made this a great value since most of the stands that came up in the search were about the same price w/o the charger. Even if it didn’t have the charger, I would still prefer this stand over similar ones if it still had the angled surface to rest your phone against instead of just a slot. To date, we haven’t had any problems with the wireless charger. No annoying high pitched whine when charging and no overheated phone.
